Are you a museum, landmark, theater, college, or other organization interested in partnering with National Treasure Hunt on a community engagement event? Find typical answers to our partners' frequently asked questions below.
National Treasure Hunt's community event series aims to engage diverse audiences in conversations about history, science, ethics, and more using the National Treasure films as a backdrop. Our events are always interactive and bring the National Treasure Hunt podcast and book to life by simultaneously educating and entertaining attendees while also building community.
National Treasure Hunt has three standard event formats; we determine which event type to convene in conversation with our event partner, based on their needs and typical audience.
Most events include a book signing session and may incorporate other components (e.g., supplementary activities, scavenger hunts) as determined in concert with the event partner.
Like our podcast, book, and tour, National Treasure Hunt's community events are generally designed to engage the widest possible range of audiences. That's why our interactive lectures and live podcasts regularly attract attendees of all ages ("from 8 to 80," as we like to say).
HEIST NIGHT's challenges are accessible for a variety of ages, though the event is especially recommended for participants 18+.
Yes! We welcome the opportunity to include a book signing component in all events. We are happy to bring our own stock of copies to sell and sign on-site, or your gift shop/book store may choose to purchase their own stock in advance of the event. We are happy to facilitate an introduction to our publisher if your store would like to purchase directly to receive the lowest possible bulk rate. Our book is also distributed by Simon & Schuster.
If your gift shop/book store will be selling our book, please note that we and our publisher are not able to accommodate consignment sales.
National Treasure Hunt is eager to partner with any and all venues that share our goal of "edutaining" audiences on interdisciplinary themes. Historically, our partners have included museums, landmarks, movie theaters, comic cons, book stores, libraries, and colleges.
The responsibilities of our event partner depend somewhat on the event format selected. Generally, however, we require that our partner provide a venue/event space, A/V equipment (typically microphones, projector, projector screen, etc.), tables/chairs (as needed), and collaborative marketing for the event. If the event is ticketed, we may request that the partner facilitate ticket sales.
National Treasure Hunt prepares and provides event content and other necessary materials.
Yes! Please note, however, that we may require travel and lodging support if your venue is not local to the National Treasure Hunt hosts.
We bake as much flexibility into our event planning process as possible. As such, we are eager to work with our event partners to determine the best way to facilitate an event, and this includes determination of cost structure.
Due to the highly involved nature of the event, including myriad props and robust pre-event preparations by National Treasure Hunt, HEIST NIGHT requires either ticket sales or an honorarium.
Yes! During our brainstorming and planning phase, let us know if there are media outlets or other local organizations you'd like us to engage with during our visit. We are happy to take any meetings that fit within the day-of event schedule!
Every National Treasure Hunt community event begins with a conversation! We are committed to crafting an event that accomplishes your goals in addition to ours, and to working out the details in a way that makes our collaboration possible. If you're interested in exploring a possible event partnership, send us a message and we'll schedule an introductory call.
If you have an event in mind that differs from our key event types listed above, reach out anyway! We are always excited to build new formats with our partners.
